Points System
Points will be given out at each function as follows:
10 Present and on time. 10 Complete and appropriate uniform. 10 Attitude 10 AY and/or Honor work done at the meeting. 5 Appearance (cloths clean, hair combed, etc.)
There are 45 points possible for each regular meeting. If an absence is prearranged, those 45 points will not count for or against the Pathfinder for that meeting. Prearranged means a staff member will be contacted anytime before the meeting. An excused absence could consist of death, illness, family or school outing, etc. No points will be given for an unexcused absence. Pathfinders who obtain three unexcused absences in a row may lose their membership with the club.
There are 180 points available for each Conference Event. Attendance at Conference events is required, any excused absences will be at the discretion of the Pathfinder Staff, and is generally for death or illness. No points will be deducted for an excused absence. There are only three Conference Pathfinder events during the year (Bike-a-thon, Camporee and the Pathfinder Fair), these dates are listed on the calendar.
There is one Missionary Activity scheduled for every month. There are 90 points possible for each Missionary Activity.
The following standards of excellence must be achieved to qualify for the Reward Outings and Awards.
▪ Be an active member of the club. ▪ Have 90% or more of available points on the points system. ▪ Wear correct, complete, neat and clean uniform to all designated events. ▪ Personal appearance should be neat and clean, with hair combed, shoes clean, etc. ▪ Be courteous, kind, obedient, helpful, conduct should be maintained at all times, being an example to others in home, school, church and club. ▪ Show spiritual growth through participation in Sabbath School, regular Church attendance, Pathfinder course work and participation in Share-Your-Faith activities. ▪ Attendance at all Conference functions. (Bike-a-thon, Camporee, and Pathfinder Fair) ▪ Pathfinders should participate in all community outreach projects planned by the club as required for their progressive AY course work.
